Default alright lets try this again - *390*

Thanks alot guys for the replys on my post about the 400 engine. i researched it a little more and all it is good for is t big torque, but is big, heavy, and very hard to work with.

But now ive come across a 390 from a 69 ltd. it is in pretty good condition and ima tear it down and completely rebuild it. This will be going in a 94 sn95 gt. will this motor fit in the car and will it bolt up to the tranmission? from what ive read, its now exactly a small block but not a big block - hence a "intermediate block" i think?

These guys sell swap kits
http://www.mspmall.com/ddautospec/swapkits.html

+1 on going and getting a 351W though
find a 351W out of an F-250 or something.

Big block will be lots of headaches, and no it wont bolt up
to trans

390's were nice.. something around 325 horse or so in stock trim... torqey too but a 390m also revs pretty good too cause of the big bore short stroke way the motor is designed.
