hmm good question not too sure im new to this just got the car today.. i know they're shorties.. on a 89 LX 5.0.. with flowmaster 40 series H pipe, cobra intake, upgraded fuel pump, stage 1 cam.. thats all im aware of..

HP TV gained 14rwhp w/ a full exhaust; shorty headers, H or X pipe (don't remember which), catback.

sounds a lot like my set up..except mines a 347, and my bbk are 1 3/4".. i saw a gain of around 15 horses

+1^^ yea, i wouldn't go that far to say 40-60, what you'll learn is that most of your mods depend on other mods for more horses

thats kinda a let down.. the last owner said between 30-50 and my friend whos owned about 8 mustangs said between 40-60 hp with a good tune
