Yeah just get some tubing, and have a welder burn them in for you. As far as control arms go doesnt your year model use leaf springs in the rear? I dont think your model has control arms

A good set of subs and a roll bar would make things much stiffer a set of through the floor subs would be even better if you dont mind cutting up the floor in your car. look close at the bolts and the rubbers in the ends of the leaf spring make sure there is no rust in the rails at the bolts and maybe some poly bushing in the end of the springs

brand new leafs and bushings. I have subs on the way and a 4 point cage. I plan on welding in torque boxes but do ya'll really think a 8 point cage is necessary. Remember this is a 65 we're talking about not a fox body (posted it here because ya'll know much more about performance than the classic guys do) No offense to n e one

4 point bar is not gone to do that much. its the door bar that runs from the main hoop to the front of the car around your feet that helps get every thing stiff. you could run a rocker bar to the front that would help you getting in out of the car unless you dont mind the door bar. It really just depends on what you are gone to do with the car and how hard you are gone to run it. if you are gone to the track and gone to run slicks I would up for more bar then a 4 point.
