MEM 302 5.0L

i have 4.10:1 gears in my stang..and i want a manual.....what should i get..alot of ppl say that 4.10s are too much for manuals though

Keep them in.... drive it and see if you like them with the 5spd. If not, swap them out for 3.73's. I drove in a 5spd with 4.10's and I liked it... didnt see too much of a problem.

I love my 4.10's in my 5spd. I have 275's and traction sucks though. get some stickie tires and slaughter everything you see

the only thing i see wrong with 4.10s.. is that first gear is very short.. and the relative low rpm and short tire... that most of u spin your engines does not call for those gears..

I got 4.10s with mine was an automatic now 5 speed mpg down but alot more fun. 1st is real short though.

Buddy of mine had 4.10's in the 5 speed, with only exhaust and D/R's went 14.2 in 1/4. Can't wait too put 4.10 in my auto on spray

You may get away with it for now, but I suspect you'll have some problems when you start tossing power adders on your mustang. 1st will be short as it is... Add some HP and it the RPMs will climb up even faster.

I like mine as far as for fun. When I'm driving normal I never take off in 2nd gear though. only first. They are awesome if you can get the power to the ground, but i'm still on 245's. I can't use 1st or 2nd gear.

Yeah 4.10s are a good track(racing gear) but on the street when you get more power youre going to want a lower gear maybe a 3.73 or a 3.55 to get the maxium out of your car....

I would go with 355's or 273's. If you have plans to mod the heck out of your car you won't get traction with 4.10's
