Default cam choice for my mild motor?

ok well im looking for a good cam for my mild motor. i have cobra upper lower intake, full exhaust, fuel pressure reg, 4:10 gears, 2800 stall converter, cold air intake, 73mm maf, 65mm t/b. with these mods what would be a good choice of cam. heads are later down the road but for now i want that nice rumble. i was thinking an e303 cam. any suggestions?

I'd get a cam based on my heads. You should hold off a bit and save up for some cheap heads. Unless you know exactly what your heads are gonna be and what rockers you wanna use, i'd hold off and do both at the same time. You can get some heads for pretty cheap. I got my P's on ebay for 500 shipped with larger valves and .600 springs.

If you want a nice rumble, go w/ a B cam and 1.7's (longer pushrods) or the TFS stage 1 w/ 1.6's. The advantage to the B cam and 1.7's is the longer duration, but the stage 1 has split lift/duration and will run well later when you get some heads, too.

If you are interested, a close friend of mine owns a set of worked D0OE heads. They have 1.94 intake valves, 3 angle valbe job, new springs, retainers, rocker studs, everything is all comp cams parts.

Hes trying to get $300+shipping

TFS stage 1 did well for me.
Almost the same mods as you but did aluminum heads at same time.
Recently dyno'ed 302 at the wheels, 328 torque.
No drivability problems whatsoever, but really hits a lick!
