You know, yesterday, I told someone on the forum that my car doesn't rattle inside. Then today, I listened more closely, and noticed that there are a few minor rattles coming from here and there. It doesn't bother me though. I thought that's just what musclecars do.

LOL. I was trying to remember who I said that to. Honestly, it's not that bad though. My wife's 01 Malibu rattles more than my car does. It's only the parking brake handle (which can be quelled by simply pulling it up a quarter of an inch), and my speedo makes a faint ticking sound. Other than that, it sounds tight--aside from the rattling of various screws, fuses, and pennies I carry in my ashtray and console. I don't mind these noises much.

It's funny, I just remembered, I gave a guy at my last job a ride one day, and he commented how remarkaby quiet my interior was, compared to other 5.0s he had been in that rattled a creeked a lot. So I guess you're right...these cars are known for interior rattles.

I guess over the years, I've learned to equate interior rattles to American horsepower.

The only sure fire way to eliminate all sqeeks and rattles is to turn the radio up.
