it has started
well today i took out my trans...it was out and on the trans jack in about an hour and 15 minutes. tomorrow the engine is gunna be coming out. im gunna do new head gaskets try to find some gt40 heads. im also gunna do a new cam and an edlebrock rpm air gap intake manifold. im also throwing in an 8.8 rear engine with 3.55 gears. anyone got any other ideas for me while i have it all apart

I know its easy to find GT-40 heads, but mine are going to be coming off in the next month or so (i hope) and i'd be willing to part with them.... its better than keeping them laying around

yes i def need new motor mounts i could hold the headers and make the engine rock back and forth like no other.
adder i would love to take them off your hands how much do you want for them and the big thing is where do you live

I wouldnt really want a whole hell of alot, maybe 250, 300 at the most... I would of course be selling them complete... that means 1.7 cobra rockers and all.. but you will need different valve covers to fit them onto your motor,

Regasket the whole motor while its out. A whole felpro gasket kit can be had for under $100. You could check the bearings and replace them if needed. Also check if the crank needs to be turned. If you want to hone the block new pistons rings wouldn't be a bad idea. Good to see you around again hack.
