why is there a hole on the driver side right next to the last bolt to the back

Must be for a sensor specific to the explorer. Just plug it if it is not needed.

ya im just hopin its threaded already, if thats all it is and it is threaded then i aint sweatin it, if not then i got to figure out how to thread it cuz i never tried that on such a big hole

Look at the stock 5.0 efi intakes on ebay they have a plug in that hole.

ya my dad just told me bout a shop thatd plug it for me if i had too real cheap so its all good, thanks i dont know why i was gettin so worked up bout sumtin so small just anxious while superchargin my car

It is threaded and you can just go down to your local auto parts store and get a threaded plug to go in it.

that hole goes into coolant system. standard 3/8 NTP plug from any hardware store will have back in plumbing section.

if you wanted to run a second aftermarket water temp guage you could
screw the temp sender for it in that hole too.
