RE: Cylinder Head... Which one?
Stay with the AFR 165 size heads with the 1.90" intake valves unless you have a block with larger valve reliefs already cut into the pistons or you could have a big problem with piston to valve clearances. Since you bought a Ford short block, why not call the Ford tech line at 586-468-1356 and ask them for advice about a cam and heads to use on it. They can certainly tell you what will fit and not fit for what type of driving you intend to do. Remember that the cam lift, valve size, and rocker arm ratio all affect the piston to valve clearance so make sure the combination you choose will work with the pistons in the short block or you will need to get the pistons machined for bigger valve reliefs to avoid a big mess.

RE: Cylinder Head... Which one?
I agree with RM about the 165's as they are great street heads..I would however buy a dual pattern cam something small like 490/510 lift and a c/l of 112 for good vacuum that cam will have great low end and good mid-range to work will the heads the power range would be about 1500-5800..
