What do you mean by "full suspension" poeple say that have full suspension but when you ask them they have stuts/shocks/springs and possibly lower arms. Do you plan no doing a tubular suspension on your front end (K member, a arms, coil over?). I would definetly recommend it considering it gives you tons of clearance, looks alot cleaner, drastically improves your suspension AND can shave off up to 140lbs with a drag brake setup added.

Full suspension is not needed to run 13s at all. Hell, no suspension mods are needed really. I did it on 100% stock stuff. Actually, worse than stock as the stock springs had been heated up by the previous owner. So, recommended=yes ; required=no.

wheres 2kwik when you need him? he has a notch back that ran 13's basically stock with just gears and basic performace mods.. this was like a year ago or so.

Yea, I think you are talking about Quik. Anyway, there are lots of people who run 13's with Notches with barely any work.
A few motor mods, control arms and a set of DR should put you real close with a set of 3.73's.

But ditch the plans for 31 spline axles and a new tranny for now...you won't need them until you're running a bit faster than 13's. My suggestions:
-DR's
-Rear control arms (at least lower, upper too if you can)
-Short throw (you've got that covered)
-3.73's (if you're really concerned w/ mileage do the 3.55's, but there's not a significant loss of mpg between the two)
I have no doubt you'll be there with that. Put the money you'd have in axle shafts and a trans into a set of heads or something (or just getting the rearend done). And the top end kit shouldn't decrease your gas mileage.

ok maybe i wasnt clear at first, sorry if i wasnt... plans are to do ONLY the listed things, and maybe some other suspension things, if i forgot any. i wanna see what the most i can get outa the stock motor is...i dont want to do pullies, heads, intake, anything like that (as of now, after this, hellz yea)... and as for the 31 spline axles... so your saying its ok for me to take the stock drivetrain and launch at 4k? the reasoning for the stronger axles and such (trans is cuz i need one anyway), is to be able to launch, so what do you all think
