cam installation

RE: helpful tips
take pictures of all vacuum lines. helps to have something to reference to when reassembling. helpful to roll the engine over to Top Dead Center before you start taking things apart and pull the distributor cap and make a mark on the distributor where the rotor is pointing and also make a mark on one of your brackets where the TFI Module is pointing, this will help when reinstalling the distributor and get you as close to possible to the correct timing. also be very careful when installing the cam, you don't want to knick the cam bearings, patience is key there. make sure you have a good grip and move very slowly. if it hangs up pull it back out a little and try again, don't force the cam. don't forget to use some sort of assembly lube on the cam and lifters, you don't want to start it up with no lubrication. follow the manufacturers instructions carefully. good luck.

hehe.
Keep careful track of where things go, bolts in bags, pictures, all that good stuff.
are you asking how to install a cam, or what NOT to do?
