IRS into a Fox Mustang? can it be done?
hey guys. Iam highly interested in swapping rear axels. If I find an entire IRS assembly, what all has to be done to mount it to a 91 Mustang. Will the rear end just bolt up or is there a LOT of custom fabrication invloved?? thanks a cya

road racing. Maximum Motorsports recently test a live axel Fox mustang with a good panhard bar and torque arm set up, against IRS set up from a 99-04 cobra IRS, and took about 3 seconds off thier best lap time. Ive heard of a lot of other guys in NASA (American Iron) doing it also

Ohh OK. For stuff like that it will be good.
Also, are you interested in a MM panhard bar? I baught one a few weeks ago but I am not sure if I want to install it. Kind of complicated for one person to do; you need two people and I dont have anyone to help me or the $$ to have a shop install it. Let me know. Im not positive that I want to sell it yet but if you are interested let me know and I will definetly consider it if you offer the right price.

ANYTHING can be done with enough time, money and know how.
would require LOTS of custom modification and parts.
you can almost as good of handling with MM 3 link set-up as stated before.

There was an IRS in a fox in a couple issues ago of Muscle Mustang. The guy had almost everything from an '03 Cobra in his fox, it was sick. So yes it can be done. I was told that an IRS rear end will swap right into an SN95, but I dont know if thats true or not. If it is tho, arent foxes like basically identical? I know we all share the same chassis
