Default Lower intake question

Hey has anyone ever used gasket sealer/Blue seal or gold instead of a lower intake gasket??? Does it leak ?has it worked for you...? Thanks for ur help.Cause iwanna use it instead of gasket ... I do use it across the bacl and front but never have used it in place of the actual gasket..

I would use the gasket instead of the rtv sealer bacause the RTV might ooz out around the intake ant get sucked into the engine and it wouldnt flow as smoothly

i only use it on the front and back. i wouldnt use it inplace of a gasket

you can't get the right torque on the bolts with squeezing the rtv out..so go get the 1250's and match port that lower

well I just did the front and back intake gaskets on my 83 stang last month, I just used the rubber gasket kit then, used small amount of RTV blue sealer. No leaks yet,

I used RTV sealant around the holes of where the Antifreeze travels.
on both sides of the gasket.
No leaks yet

Oh and the front and back of the thing too

Thanks guys !! I ordered the 1250.. phew..As muxh as i love my car i really dislike doing my own work hehehehe.. i mean dont get me wrong i enjoy the easy things but just wish i could snap my fingers and be done heheheh.Or get rich and have some super team roll up and do it in a day.Oh well at least i know its done correct and if anything breaks its my fault .

Keep on getting your hands dirty! Too many people don't have a clue what's going on under their hoods and as a whole we are getting dumber by the day in this country. We need more people like you who ain't afraid to use a wrench and get their hands dirty!!!

that's for real! people get so lazy and seems to not care to pay to have it done...what happens when cash is low and you can't have it done.. they just whine out it cause they can't do it
