Default underdrives pulleys

are underdrive pulleys a good idea for a daily driver? my car already doesn't seem to hold a charge that great at idle. not bad but not as strong as when cruising. thanks guys

Yeah, they are a decent bang for the buck mod. YOu can get a 2 piece setup from March Pullies that keeps the factory alternator pulley. You can even get an overdrive alt pulley if you are really worried about charging issues.

+1 on the two piece. I bought the 3 piece and only used the 2. Their good for about 10-15 hp.

Buy the three piece. This way the overdrive alt. pulley helps your charging

Installing pulleys is a good initial mod because it frees up some HP-I noticed that my car seemed to rev up a bit faster after I put mine in

i just installed mine last weekend (3-piece), and i noticed a difference. it revs up faster and seemed to spin the tires a little easier. definitely a worthwhile upgrade. they're easy to install, but if you dont have an impact wrench you'll need to find somebody who has one to take your alt. nut off for you.

Actually, by useing your stock alt. pulley with the underdrives you will charge a little more.

Just get a 130 amp 3G alternator and you wont have any charging problems
