No back pressure is not good on stock motors.......

Run a muffler at least but you will only get out what you are putting in ( in other words your intake)....more air out only sounds better...you won't gain much HP.....If any.

You will lose TREMENDOUS amounts of down low torque, it's not worth it at all on a stock or bolt on 5.0. Dont do it, your buddy is retarded. Use mufflers.

i am running no mufflers and i have the cats still. the only reason for this is my mufflers where messed up and i was afraid of messing up the motor. i asked a tech before i cut them and he said with the cats it will be no problem. but i felt a big loss in power and it sounds like ****

You will loose low end torque, people think the bigger the exhaust the better, NOT.

Leave the mufflers on, if he's looking to sound cool tell him to buy a fart can honda exhaust... what a dummy... if he's serious tell him to save his pennies and buy a tuned catback from magnaflow, flowmaster, summit even has budget ones for $200! That'd be better then what he's gonna do and yes open headers can cause burnt valves.
