Ive hit 172 in my 85, to go that fast you definitly need lots of open space, I did it at around 3am.
Dude with the front runners, if youre going to go 100+ Id get rid of those skinny little POS front runners, they're meant to go fast in a straight line only, theyre skinny to reduce rolling resistance (drag). If your car is setup for drag racing, I definitly wouldnt try openin er up on the E-way, drag cars cant turn quickly, which sometimes you need to do on the road. So front runners + drag suspension = inevitably crashing, possibly killing yourself and/or trashing your car. Drag suspension WAY to soft for haulin *** on the highway.
BTW, the faster I went the more stable my car felt. My car sits super low (my h-pipe is about an inch off the ground), I have z-unlimited tires ( very important if you plan on exceeding 129 mph). My car rides like a brick, has super tight suspension, hardly any weight transfer at all, perfect for corners and high speeds.
And before any of you call bs, according to a gear calculator, theoretically I was going 203.

. And XBA 4k in 5th with a 2.73 is freakin movin. Id guesstimate it at around 160+, considering windresistance ride height, etc.

, VERY stable. Like I said before TIRES are VERY important at those speeds.-P.

Well that some wild **** there.I don't think there's a road long enough or save enough where i live to try that.But if I were to guess 120-130 mph and hold on!!!!

BLue and Futball, its your gear thats killin you guys. With that steep of a gear, Im not suprised you guys can barely reach 130. 302's are torque motors, let em do some.....torquing. [8D]

Im too scared of going fast on highways, etc. Just because of cops... I just simply cannot afford another ticket. So I go hard on my car out near the farms, etc. late at night where theres just thousand of animals to jump in front of my car and I can try and swerve to avoid hitting them at 130 [&:] Sounds better hugh lol
