I guess I do it wrong, at the strip on street tires to clean them off I pull AROUND the water box, start at a LOW roll and floor it. Smokes the tires nicely. I might slip it from a high rpm like 2K or so and that will ensure that it doesnt move and just does a burnout. A lot of people dont have this much power apparently (which makes me wonder HOW THE HELL you LAUNCH! at 2000+ rpm when I only have 244/262 and can hit it from idle and smoke them. Yes the car "hooks" it has pulled 2.15 60' on street tires with the chassis set on its stiffest setting and my sorry *** driving (first pass EVER!))

You get a V8 stang, push that clutch in get agressive on the rev not to crazy cause you'll blow that sh*t out and let go of the clutch and catch the brake asap and walla just like that you have a burn out.

i keep my heel on the brake and my toes on the gas... takes a while to get it down just right but i think its a lot more efficient and quicker than switching from clutch to brake since the pedals in a mustang are so close.

Wouldn't really call that "hooking", even on street tires. I've gone 1.90 on Uniroyals on worse-than-stock suspension, and I don't even consider that to be hooking.

My thought is if you dont know how to do a burnout you're probably not ready to do one yet...
