hint: heads and gears. :)
I've heard the 4.10's are great for accelleration but you'll be running fairly high rpms on the freeway. |

if you can find a set of 3:90's....why a fly wheel if going alum...the car might not launch as well as you'll lose rpm and on the 4.6 you need it.

I have 3.55 and a TransGo shift kit in my '95. The shift kits lets the tires bark goingfrom second into drive when I lean into it (neck snapping from 1st to 2nd even w/out really laying into it)). Also got rid of a problem that mine had about stomping the gas while going down the highway (45mph+) to pass someone. The motor would get up to 4500-5000rpms but it'd seem like the tranny didn't want to downshift and when it finally did it'd really jerk the car. Anyway with the 3.55's it'll run around 2K rpm at 60mph. Hope that helps.

It's a good idea to have the shift kit, but I did it a different way and haven't had a problem in eight years. I had the tranny pan drilled and tapped for a plug. Refilled with B&M trick shift fluid and ran it for a few hundred miles. Then drained it again and refilled with the B&M (so most of the fluid that was left in the converter also got changed out). It chirps the tires from first to second every time. But I went with the 3.73 rear gears. They'll snap your neck, but I still get decent mileage and it's not hitting the rev limiter on the freeway. With the aod it's taching about 3400 at 65mph. And when you hit passing gear, it's amazing<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0">
