Hi, was wondering if anybody has a methanol kit hooked up and what are the results (dyno if possible). Also, do you use methanol or denatured alcohol or??

I was checking some kits out on ebay and they seem pretty cheap. Some use a one way brass valve instead of a solenoid to activate. I would assume the solenoid would be better? Any thoughts?

Also, since I'm only supercharged and not turbo'ed would I see any benefit? I only run 11 psi boost (dyno see's 8.5) but do not have any type of cooler (inner or after). So, I'm thinking I could probably run an even smaller pulley to generate more boost if I had the cooling effect of the alcohol.

I'm running a water / meth injection kit with 10 PSI of boost from a procharger and it definately makes a difference. Depending on the run and the timing, I've seen gains anywhere from 30 - 50 HP. As far as what I put in it, I just use windshield washer fluid. Just make sure it's the stuff that has methanol in it.

Here's a dyno shot, I had the rev limiter set to 5,800 at the time, but you can see the power was still climbing. However, I think I have way maxed out my 190 lph fuel pump and have to rectify that problem soon.

Do you run the windshield washer fluid straight then, or do you dilute it?

The windshield washer fluid is already a diluted combo of water / meth. So just pour it straight in

I run meth in my car. I run 15# of boost and straight 100% meth. I am still on a conservative tune. No meth..511rwhp..with meth detuned to 603rwhp. Do yourself a favor though get a real good wideband A/f gauge. Run out of meth once and you can say goodbye to your headgaskets.

I run 50% methanol 50% water mix. I made just over 600rwhp without the methanol on 93 octane, but I did not dyno with it because the header gasket didn't last.
