I took my car to have my intake installed and got it back today. The place closed and I can't take it back till next Monday.
Up high at 3,500 up RPMS in each gear,, the car is wicked fast. Down low, when you gun it, it hesitates and knocks LOUD! My idle sounds different too, more agressive. Also, it seems to be running a bit hotter than usual for some reason.
Did the mechanic time it incorrectly, not put in a fuel injector correctly?? Is it dangerous if I just drive it like driving miss Daisy to do my commute to school and back?
I dont have a timing light, but should i just turn the distributor a little myself and do some test runs till it runs okay?

First thing I would check the timing. Also, you do not NEED a timing light but its nice to have one. You can try to time it by ear and get it where it doesnt ping and than save up for one and set it correctly. Also, try running a higher octane and see if that helps.

see if your distributor is tight, and ur timing is prob off etc.
