Default Piston Ring End Gap

Hey what is a good piston ring end gap for a street driven 331 stroker w/ SRP 10-1 compression with eagle rods and crank, gt40p heads TFS street heat intake, TFS Stage one cam, BBK headers ect. It MAY see nitrous later on in the future. It will be a daily driver also. I was told by an one engine builder that .020 on both top and bottom rings. But I have read alot that says you should make the second bigger than the first. What do you guys think I should make them? What has worked for others that have done this?

ignore the gap, they come already set within factory specs, and this procedure is becoming useless

WHAT???????????? I dont mean to be a jerk but...... you are wrong........ ALOT of performance rings and pistons come with oversized rings, and every pistons bore is a little different. You must set them up sqared in the bore and measure the gap with a feeler gauge. Then you must grind and measure until you are at the desired clearance. I hope nobody listened to this. I guess I should not ask for advice on a forum when I already know more than most........

You HAVE to file fit them otherwise if you don't, they expand when running with heat and break or what not.

IME, with a forged piston and a 'moly' type ring I've always used .004 per inch of bore so, 4.03 bore would need about .016 on both top and second ring.
I also put a slight bevel on both sides of the ring ends, top and bottom...
