Default cam upgrade for my 95 gt PLEASE HELP

I want to put a performance camshaft in my 95 gt. I got duel flow masters with an h pipe and cold air intake. My car sounds nice and loud but I want that badass sound you can get only from cams and a few extra horses wouldn't hurt either. I have done a **** load of internet research and am seriously considering an extreme energy camshaft from comp cams. I was wondering if anybody had any advice or personal experience with this camshaft before I purchased it.

This is the actual kit Iv'e been looking at. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

please sumbody who knows more about cams than me take a look and let me know what you think

THANKS ALOT GUYS

You will also need valve springs, retainers.......or a better set of heads will also complement the cam + you may need to get it tuned....

Ya doesn't every one say that the SN95's respond very poorly to cam swaps without a tune, I would use your money for other things, then do the cam later and have the real horsepower to back up that mean sound. just my opinion though

I will NEED to get that stuff?? Really? I hope not because my mechanic told me that my stang had a stock hydraulic roller cam and as long as I get another hydraulic roller cam that all I would need is the lifters. While he had the engine apart I was gunna get him to throw in the TB.... Not trying to say your wrong or anything at all. Just explaining myself.

What is the max lift that you can run with stock valve springs/pistons?

If you are going to get a cam, might as well save for heads, r/r 1.6", new rods, timing chain, intake manifold upper and lower, 24 or 30lb injetcors, new fuel pump at least 225lph with fuel regulator, 70mm T/B and 75mm MAF and your tune. Trick flow have packages that can include all of this for a reasonable price, might as well look into Edelbrock.
Good luck.

Yea I will defenitly save for that. But I was just kinda looking for something to give me that lopey sound right now. I understang I'm not getting the full potential of the cams horsepower. But too many people have told me that I need to get cams. My stang already sounds badass and loud I am just thriving for that lope.

duration is ok nice and mild for your car, but lift is way too much for ya springs, stay under 550 if not little more with your stock springs
