Default 94 gt getting new engine, possible turbo?

hey, basically im jus lookin for input on whether or not you guys think its safe to do - turbo this engine
http://www.fordcobraengines.com/302_345hpFuelInj.htm

with this turbo kit
www.flatlanderracing.com on the scroll bar on the left click turbo kits -> turbocharged power systems -> 94-95 mustangt gt 5.0 -> stage 1 kit

without making any internal changes to the engine and running on 10psi of boost daily, also what other parts might i need/what else would need to be upgraded (like axles) and where could i find those parts, thanks in advance for the help

also if the 302 that i have the link for above seems like it would be a problem to turbo, would this 351 work better?

no, it woudlnt be safe. 1st off, the engine is not forged what so ever. it wont be strong enough to make decent power. 2nd, $4k would get you alot better engine, if you picked the parts yourself and found an engine builder to do it. 3rd, i would stay away from a turbo kit from a small unknown company. thats taking a BIG risk.

Well DukeU03 - The advice from nomocobra is really true, I havent build too many race engines, Alot og theses guys know their stuff, For me I would like to build a 351w then stroke it to a 408, Then you could have some fun, Or if ya like small blocks 302 build up would work good too, It all depends what you want to do.

yeah, thanks for the advice guys, you actually got me interested in stroking the 351w instead...i found this article http://www.mustangandfords.com/techarticles/35939/ about strokin a 351 to a 427, but also read a few posts on here that stroking it to a 427 might not be a safe thing to do, so is stroking to 408 much safer? what type of hp and torque differences would there be? this is all gonna be on a daily driven street car so engine reliability is a MAJOR factor, thanks for all your help and thanks for any answers and advice in advance

currently i have a chipped 302 with cai, headers and flowmaster exhaust...im planin on changin the engine in early spring as mine is on its way out with 178k, but when i replace it im lookin to get at least 400 rwhp, really want closer to 500, for a daily driven car and will have around 10k to spend on the engine and parts necessary for it (workin my tail off all summer and during school this year) to be able to handle the massive hp increase, and im hopin to hit 12's or better in the quarter which i think i can with that much hp, maybe im wrong im still kinda new to this, any suggestions would be great as to how i can do this, i was thinkin strokin a 351w to a 427, but im open to suggestion, anyways thanks for the patience and responses, and as always all help is appreciated

there are a ton on ways to go, esp you already have a good 302 block.. going turbo is a great way to go, but you have to forge the guts...

Im in agreement all around. Not a good choice to turbo. Honestly for 4k, and unless you have to have aspiration, I'd go with a sweet crate long block from Roush Racing or something, you could even maybe find just a solid 302 or 351W block for around 800 and then have it built up by a good place.

keep in mind on a 500rwhp vehicle, you will need suspension work, a stronger tranny, and beefed up rear end.
