Default Underdrive pulley's

Are they a good mod for the 100 bucks? or will it do more harm than good? thanks! What about the belts? do you change them out to a smaller size? or will the stock one work still?

Depending on what brand you go with, I would recommend doing the 3g alternator conversion first or at the same time. You'll want it anyway if you decide to go w/ an electric fan or run anykind of audio system.

I would look at the ASP (Auto Specialties) pullies. They are great quality and have different sets that allow you to chose how much underdrive you want (<--you can basically choose what RPMs you want to reach full charge).

You use the original belt.
I put Pro Form underdrive pullies on my '92 and noticed that at idle the lights went dim and the alternator was barely charging. I did the 130 amp alternator conversion and it charges better than ever.

Summit sells their own brand and theyre pretty cheap. I wish I had known that because theyre cheaper than the $90 (shipped) I paid for mine.

I couldn't use the original belt, and my MAC underdrives were only 60.00 shipped [&:], there's a little bit of a power increase.
