EEC IV Fried ...
Finally got my Pony running ... About time too (3 months) ... lol ... Was busting my head open trying to figure out what was wrong ... Replaced fuel pump & relays ... Still no start ... So a friend suggested I check the ECM ... He was even nice enough to let me try two he had laying around in his garage ... Wouldn't ya know ? ... Bingo ! [sm=smiley20.gif] ... Car started right up ...
Questions ???
Can the burned out A9S unit be repaired ? ...
Does it matter that I'm running an A9P (auto) on a 5 spd. ? ...
I've also got an A3M1 , is that any better than the A9P EEC IV ? ...
In the mean time I'll be clearing the dust & cobwebs off of my lil Stang ... [sm=gears.gif]

I have a A9P in my 5spd car, and it runs. It's pathetically slow for what all I got in it but that's probably something else, not the computer. I saw someone post the spark curve comparison between the A9P and A9L and the A9P has a slower spark advance curve, but they both max out at the same total advance.

If you are having trouble getting the car to run properly with your mods, then a tune is the best option...
