I got a damn rod knock or something, so does anyone got a 302 motor for sale? or does anyone know where i can get a good relatively low mileage one? please help me cuz im bout to ride this one till it dies on me!!!

Its knockin man, I just spent 2 dayz rippin the driver side head off,and all my lifters and push rods were ok, also my pistons and valves seemed ok....so I think i spun a bearing or bent a con rod or something in the bottom, damn it!

the engines out of 88-92 lincoln mark 7's are identical to the 5.0 ho in the mustang and is commonly found for cheap cause most yards dont know its the same

if you spun a bearing it wouldn't be running....what is the oil pressure? if you have the top end off just pull the engine and pull the pan...as looking by the pistons it had some blowby and the white spot on the 1 valve is odd...and I would also say with valve seals or guides have a fair amount of wear

Well then did i bend a rod? i already put the engine back together and of course it still knocks,but goes away at higher rpm's ....or i cant hear it....? oh yea my oil pressure is fine and no loss of power...
