Default turbocharging a 1985 mustang?

Is it possible to turbocharge a carbureted 1985 mustang gt? must i convert to mass flow? or can i just run the boost pipe to the top of the carb, seal it, and go for it?

Its possible you just need a supercharger hat for the carb, it should just hook up to the turbo piping. I believe they make special carbs for turbos and centrifugal superchargers.

its possible(if youre mechanically inclined) to convert your own carb for blow thru, as long as its big enough already. if not, it would probably be easier to just buy a new one already done up for ya. id ask around in the pipes, boost, and juice section, or check out turbomustangs.com or carbdford.com, lots of good info on them sites

I'd think it be a lot easier to tune then a efi car.

if you go turbo you gotta make all that plumbing and **** , 347 is simple and you gain hp and torqe evrywhere.

plus you can always go torbo after you stroke it, you know your gonna want to go faster anyways.
