What Type Of Oil????
I know ford suggests Motorcraft oil..
But what is the best oil to lube an engine?
I know some oils are better then others...... DO you use just reg. oil?
Synthetic blend? Full Synthentic?
just over all what is best for a 302 thats an everyday driver?

RE: What Type Of Oil????
amsoil invented synthetic oil. its the only oil legally used in commercial jet engines. its by far the best. its protects far better than dino oils, lasts longer because it doenst break down, withstands higher and lower temps as well. amsoil is guaranteed for 1 year drain intervals. all synthetic is environmentally friendly. if everyone used it, we wouldnt have to rely on foreign oil as much. dont know about other companys, but amsoil is made from soy beans.

RE: What Type Of Oil????
Ran Mobil One and Castrol full synthetic in my ex's 93 Accord. Did a side-by-side comparison with her 93 at 125K and a 92 Accord bought that had "the oil changed every 3' per the owner. My one owner 93 that had synthetic since 15k was pristine under the valve cover...NO reddish build up or varnish....NONE. The other Accord, well maintained by their testimony, had considerable build up and varnish. Not scientific but the syn oil in both the engine and trans has made the 03 accord last with NO repairs for 11 yrs and 195K......more than I can say about the marriage! : - )
