Default Carb to EFI

There is a 5.0 black 4eye for sale near me, are all 4 eyes carbed? if so can i make teh switch to efi? how much would it cost? and lastly what can i do to get it up to par performance wise, im looking for about 250-260 to the wheels (only in college so i dun have money for a blower or anything lol)

I think that some 4 eyes came with EFI, not too sure though. Why would you want to change from carb to EFI? For the money you would spend you coule easily reach your goal of 250-260 hp and have a very streetable machine.

The only 4 eye to come with EFI was the 1986 all the ones before were carb. There is really no need to change to EFI you can make more then enough streetable power with a Carb.

thought EFI was more reliable then a carb? this is gonna be my DD if i go ahead with it... i need somthing that is gonna start up 5/7 days of the week and drive 30 miles a day about.

If you know what you are doing there is no reason a carb should be any less reiable than EFI. True, EFI is more up to date, but the car not being EFI shouldnt scare you or make you want to switch
