Part of it you just answered yourself...You have way too much intake for that cam. You need the stocker back on it...maybe port out the lower a little. There may be other issues as well, but your intake/cam combo is not helping you at all.

Just realized you said it was .050 over...is that on a stock block? Stock blocks are better w/ .030 over, no more than .040 max. It's probably running H-O-T!

Why would you go with an upper thats 2500 - 6500 RPM? As mentioned above, the cam and intake aren't matched up very well. But either way, why didn't you go with the Trick Flow Street Heat or something thats IDLE - 5500.

is that a 60's block or a newer 302 ho block, .050 is kinda much, i dont thin kyou can go past .040 with a good block.
what are the specs on the police interceptor cam??? the 5.0 HO had the same cam in it no matter what vihicle it whent into, civilian or police.

a 5 angle valve job on stock heads is a joke...alot of$$$

also why would you put that big of an intake on poor flowing heads?

Just another example of somebody putting together a bunch of good parts that won't work well with each other...

Anyways, it should still run OK, so I would say start out by checking your timing, look for vacum leaks, fuel pressure, spark plugs and gap...just a few things to look over.

i agree that he should have kept all upgrade parts in the same rpm band , but should it be slower than stock?
