probably gunna need a turbo or s/c to make a sub 10 street car....
nitrous is illegal on the street (even if the bottle isnt there..) anyway so hes already breakin the rules.
ur fox is probably under 2800lbs.. it aint gunna get much lighter without replacing body panels with fiberglass/aluminum (fenders, hatch, etc..)

its legal to have nitrous installed in the car and a full bottle in the trunk as long as the hose isnt attached to the bottle.
yes it is

RE: Who's got the lightest foxbody?
I have one friend whose 100% daily driven street car weighs 2680 with the stock K-member still in it. I have another friend who has a street legal race car that weighs in the 2500lb range with a stroker Windsor and tons of nitrous.
And nitrous is not illegal to have on a street car.

RE: Who's got the lightest foxbody?
The car is currently gutted and I will only be reinstalling the dash, sans the metal work behind it and the heatercore/blower motor. The door panels, the rear side plastics, a headliner and the center console. All of these will be as light as I can make them while still looking good. All that shouldn't weigh more than 50-75lbs, so not very important. I thought about removing the windows and all the crap in the doors to save weight, since I can't screw them all the way up because of the summer heat. But hmmm... I also plan on tubular K-member, uber light wheels, and just in general trying to remove weight.
Who makes a lightweight hatch, or hatch replacement, even if its stationary? I think right now the car should be under 2700lbs, its curb weight is supposedly 2780lbs, and I've removed:
AC/heat complete system
rear bumper support
metal "frame" of dash
put in lightweight buckets in place of front seats, no rears
no carpet/sound deadening.
Lightened up the doors, removing whatever possible, still more to go.
Removed sunroof and riveted aluminum sheet in
No ac controls, stereo, or electronics.
I guess I won't get it as low as I thought. But if I get it under 2500lbs, I guess I'll be satisfied. That with 450whp should be possibly of 10's.

Harwood makes a fiberglass hatch, bolt in or pin on, but you have to use the lexan glass. The bolt in hatch is around $450, the glass is $150.
