MAC sounds better than flowmaster and has nicer tips! And it's endura-black coated.

If you want a deep quite sound....go with the Flowmaster 40 series 3 chamber.

If you want really stupid loud......go with the Flowmaster American Thunder 2 chamber.

I would get the 40 series personally.

I am almost 100% sure there is no 40 series 3 chamber muffler. The 3 chambers are the 50 series, or Force IIs, while the 40 series are the 2 chamber american thunders.

I would save up enough money to buy a whole catback exhaust kit.

This may sound wierd but I think flowmaster tail pipes are among the best looking because they are just that, tail pipes. I think most exhaust with tips are ugly b/c on SN95s you can see where the tip meets the rest of the exhaust. On flowmasters the tailpipe is all one piece and its just a nice smooth flow all the way to the tip. Only problem is 2.5" looks small most of the time.

^^ That I definetly agree with BUT you cant really see where the tip meets the pipe on the SKP's... on GT's you cant anyway. Have you ever seen a SLP tip though? I was very amazed on how nice they were when I got them. 3.5' double walled with SLP engraved at the top... the tips are cut at a really nice angle too... I LOVE THEM and though they were alot nicer than my flow tips... I will agree though that I do like how flowasters pipe and tip is one.

Same with me... I thought that I would like the sound of flows better than my SLP's but went with the SLP's anywy to be different and I ended up LOVING them... the quality is uncomparable to Flowmaster too.

i hate to pick at this.. but i will

why tell everyone to stay away from flowmaster?

they are not THAT popular to be honest. the name is.. thats all.

ive been to mustang meets/shows and everyone has different exhaust. just because people have the same mufflers does not mean its going to sound the same. engine mods, headers, mid pipe, tips, angles (sidepipes, dumps, straights, etc..) all change the sound. diameter and length are factors too.

if i put an o/r h-pipe on my car with headers it would sound TOTALLY different
