Oh what a sweet feeling

I took my Mustang out yesterday just to put some heat in the new engine. At this point it has less then 50 miles on the clock. Anyway, I was driving in second gear (C4)running around 40 MPH. I decided to open her lungs up and let her breath.[sm=badbadbad.gif] I was at six grand before I could blink my eyes.;) That awesome ass rev limiter kicked in. The best part about it is that the car had almost no sounds of strain. I honestly think this 347 is capeable of 6500-7000 RPM with no issues. I'm loving it. I will try my best to keep you all informed of my progress.

+1 I have heard that you're supposed to break an engine in the way it's going to be driven. Plus, there was that thing about running an engine hard early in it's life actually helps it run longer, something to do with setting the seals or something? Anyway enjoy it man, but drive safe.

I haven't been able to get videos yet. [sm=burnout.gif]I have to find time to get my wife to come film it for me. I will try to do it as soon as possible. The only thing I hate is that the car is about 6 different colors because I'm restoring it. It's ugly as home made sin. If it wasn't so loud it would be a great sleeper.
