You dont NEED heads to put on a throttle body or a manifold. You will still gain horsepower/tq from adding these parts; you will just not get the full potential out of them. You will gain about 10-15 horsepower with a throttle body and a manifold (approx). I say go for it ..........

so if i got a 65mm t-body i have to upgrade the MAF? where can i find that?

You can go w/ a larger TB, but you need to make sure it's matched to the upper intake opening. IIRC, it's only 60mm, so you may have to enlarge it. Headers would probably be your best mod at this point w/o doing a H/C/I swap. You'll want a tune when you do that b/c SD is picky sometimes.

From what I have gathered about SD, the big thing you have got to worry about is the cam change. There is a list of cams that will work with your SD system somewhere. It is on another web site. If you do something like a blower, turbo, or something along those lines, you are going to need to get a dyno tune with somebody that can do SD systems. I believe that is a burned chip they do to adjust the computer.

^ +1 There is a really good tech article in the stickes all about SD and MAF. Its under "Understanding your EFI system" or something like that.
