Default 10% Ethanol in Gas

Well, Im not sure if anyone seen my post but for the past few weeks my car has been running a little wierd and not getting that great of gas mileage. I just found out today that the gas station that I regularly go to is now running 10% ethanol in their gas. I found it kind of odd because I asked them when they started doing that and they started right about when my car started acting wierd and chugging gas. Im not sure, it could just be me and my heavy foot but I thought I would ask anyway.... any help is appreciated. Thanks!

in my area, everyone uses ethanol(89) becaues it is the cheapest. the only difference between it and regular gasoline is that 10% ethanol(fuel made from corn) is added. the corn stuff has a higher octane rating, but it gets slightly worse gas mileage. theres alot of imports around now that run E85 primarily, i guess time will tell how well that works.

If it gets worst gas mileage than why the hell would they even put it in there?

Hey, I have never really gone off of numbers but its a noticable difference so thats all that I can say... and if its noticable to me than its definetly something for me to look into because I dont follow that stuff too closely.

10% ethanol doesnt really make a noticeable difference, its higher octane, and it is cheaper-win win situation
