Default Tune Up

Ok guys I'm doing a complete tune up this weekend and wondered Will it actually make any difference on my car if i get msd cap/rotor/plugs instead of just going to autozone and getting the oem parts?

Nothing you will notice... for me atleast anyway but they are like the same price. Are you doing a basic tune up or a full tune up?

Oil Change
Coolant Flush
Fuel Filter Change
Spark Plugs
Ignition Wires
Cap & Rotor
etc?

its not going to hurt, probably wont make a noticeable difference horsepower wise. most people go aftermarket because they want to get a little better spark. its up to you, i would reccomend aftermarket but thats just IMO. you can always go to like advance or autozone and have them look it up and compare the prices because they usually have aftermarket cap and rotor and stuff like that on hand

Im actually pretty sure that the motorsports cap & rotor is the same price as the MSD. I paid $24 for my MSD cap & rotor I believe.

Get what fits your car, if your cars stock get OEM Motorcraft parts, if its modded pretty heavy get MSD and Aftermarket parts, its up to you. My only recomendation is that you use the stock copper plugs, dont get patinum! I'd get a new cap, rotor button, wires, plugs, check/advance timing, oil change, air filter clean/change, clean TB, IAC, check TPS, check base idle, clean and resilicone all igniton connections and grounds, top off coolant, new wiper blades, rotate license plates, and whatever else you can think of!
