RE: turbo
What do you mean by "really cheap?" Most people consider superchargers to be expensive. Turbochargers generally cost more than superchargers. Unless you can piece one together yourself, expect to pay $4,000+.

as a sinde note for reference, my Procharger cost just over $2,500 and that was a great deal.

I agree, no cheap turbos. The twin turbo ones on ebay have been known to not fit at all. Like said, expect to pay at least $3,000 for a turbo kit.

RE: turbo
You get what you pay for... you will be sorry if you buy ANY 1800 dollar turbo kit! Are you looking for a turbo or a turbo kit from a company? Expect to pay atleast $3500 for any decent turbo setup.

RE: turbo
Not to be a ***** or shoot down your ideas or anything, but I'd be a bit scared to run any significant amount of boost on your engine. You have a 302 bored to .050 over. That's stretching it a bit far and the walls would seem awful thin in certain spots. Add that to a high compression and a large amount of boost / HP and I'd be afraid of something giving out.

RE: turbo
If you have the know-how you can piece together a decent setup relatively cheap. Otherwise its gonna run you about 4500 for the kit, and then id say a grand total of around 6-7k once its all done. Turbo's are expensive.

RE: turbo
no such thing as as cheap turbo kit. the cheapest is a junkyard set up which means going to a junk yard, pulling 2 turbos from a couple 4 banger cars and fabricating the whole kit from scratch. you may get the turbos cheap but youll still need 2 waste gates, a BOV, blow through maf, intercooler, oil lines, fuel injectors, fuel pump, lots of tubing for the discharge tubes, intake and exhaust and that doesnt even take into consideration that youll need a tune. then after the tune youll be making enough hp to want to consider a tranny upgrage/rebuild or at the very least, suspension
