RE: welding on mufflers myself
I talked to people and they said the clamps work good, I dont see why not, thats what exhaust clamps are made for.I just cut off my old muffler and put on the 40's that I want, anyway the cheapest if found was 50$ for both muffler, thats just muffler not dumps or pipes, I might just do that.

Just weld it. Practice welding a couple pieces of metal together that are about the same thickness & same material. Make sure the welder is turned way down then try to weld it. If it doesn't work turn it up gradually until you get the settings right. Start off with it on high, you're liable to melt the part of your exhaust & the mufflers.

the welder im using is a arc welder, Im going to clamp it then try and weld it, if it doesnt work out right off the bat, ill pay the 50$ and have the welding shop weld it.
