If your going to race it, you will eventually break something... For sure you will wear stuff out quicker... Letting the air out of the tires will give you worse traction... If you do that, the middle of the tire will tend to move up, giving you an upside down U shape on the tire where it hits the road, thus less contact patch on the road, thus less traction, putting alot more stress on the side wall constuction... A good set of shocks and drag radials (if your on a budget), otherwise do what the guys mentioned before me and you shouldn't have any problems...
