Way to big of a carb as said. Actually, when trying to cheat using a carb thta is too large, you have to jet it richer because the is less of a signal due to the reduced velocity.

I have a holley remaned carb for 85 mustang with egr plate sitting in my garage. I have the emission tubes for it too. Its a 600cfm w/ vacuum secondaries. The car is was on ran perfectly fine when I pulled the motor. Would you be interested in trading.

A carb made in 1985 LOL, I just can't do such a terrible thing to my beast. I love her soo much that I just wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did that. Demon or a Holley Avenger. I would sell it though it is in nice shape, ran recently, chrome finish.

He said it was reman'd so its probably not that old. I would see no problem with it, as long as it was drained stored properly. But then again I grew up in a carb shop and think nothing of rebuilding and tuning a holley, if you want zero maint. go Fuel Injection, no matter what carb you get, its not set it and forget it. Just do your self a favor and stay away from Edelbrock, as they are nothing more offshore cast plated pieces of carter afb. They are great for chevy's... But we all know how that goes.
