Default Dumped flowmaster 40 series?

Right now my car has flowmasters (maybe super40's??) and it sounds great but it just isn't loud enough for me. I already punched out the cats, but it still isn't loud enough. I rescently heard a 4.6 mustangs with dumped 40 series and WOW did that sound nice and it was exactly how loud i would like my car to be. Would it be a good idea to just chop out the old flows and put in new 40 series and dump it at the axle? Does dumping it really improve sound that good or should i weld the tail pipes back on also if i decide to do it. Or should I just chop off the exhaust at the mufflers and leave it straight pipes, or is that just too loud? Thanks!!

i think the str8 pipes would be a lil too loud lol, but it all depends on what your looking for. i have the 40 series myself, and they sound good. yea try the newer flows first....

If you want loud... get yourself a set of SLP LM1's with an O/R midpipe. THAT is loud!

I have dumped flowmasters right before the axle. They're loud enough that I have to turn the car off at the drive thru speaker so I can order my food.

I would love to have the slp's but they are just too expensive. The flows will only cost me $140 and i can weld them on myself. Just looking for an inexpensive nice sounding loud exhaust.

I father has to do shut his truck off every time too. He has the 4in stacks with no mufflers. I am also wanting to run 40 series with dumps. It just sounds so good to me.
