i got a 91 LX 5.0, my car was idling high so i cleaned out the IAC valve and the EGR valve, after that it started idling low like to a point like it feels likes its going to shut off, sometimes it idles at a reasonable rpm, then after 2 minutes it goes back to a low rpm, what should i do, i checked the pcv and cleaned the MAF wires, i dont wanna mess with the TPS sensor but do i have to? and wat else should i check, i checked for vacuum leaks too

Ty resetting the base idle. To do this unhook the negative battery cable and leave it off for about 30 mins. Disconnect the wires going to the IAC. After the 30 mins is up with the IAC still disconnected put the neg cable back on. Start the car withh all accessories off. Now turn the idle screw to make it idle at the rpm u desire. Most prefer 700-900. Now let the car idle for 2 mins. Turn the car off and reconnect the IAC. Now start the car again and let it idle for another 2 mins. Thats about it. Hope this helps.

Set your TPS first before you mess with the idle screw... If you don't you may over/under run the sensor and not get a good reading to your computer as to the actual throttle position...

I just had the exact same problem. Replaced the TPS. All is well now. See "Eratic idle traced to TPS" in the 5.0 forum.
