Default cat question

Hello, I am new to the board. I just purchased my first 5.0 mustang(always had the old ones,69 and 71). It has a rattle under the car that I thought was the bracket loose at the end of the h pipe. The sound is coming from both the cat's like a clanging sound inside. Any ideas???? Is there something inside of those things that comes loose? Thanks for any help.

If it's an '86-'93, there was a heat shield that was put between the cat and floor board, that typically comes loose after time and rattles... Hope this helps...
