cooling issues
I have a problem with my 94 gt. I can not keep it cool. I have A 331 with A p1sc on it I tried to put A fluidyne on it but it will not fit with the blower in the way. I also put A high speed switch on it. Is there any other way to keep it cool with out breaking the bank. Also does A good tune help with cooling? Thanks for any suggestions.

RE: cooling issues
I don't know much about '94's but a good tune will keep an engine running at a more constant temp...

RE: cooling issues
Maybe go to a 180 thermostat that might help to cool it down.........good luck

RE: cooling issues
+1 and see if you can get that aluminum radiator in there, you'd be surprised how much that helps

RE: cooling issues
You might want to try a griffin aluminum radiator... they seem to be thinner than most... and yeah, try a 180 degree thermostat... I have a milodon 180 in mine and I cant even get it to warm up, lol

RE: cooling issues
...hmmm...
1st-drain old coolant completely, and flush out system w/ h2o 2nd-install a $180 fail safe t stat ($12) 3rd-install a replacement 3 core copper/brass rad ($150) 4th-check all plumbing connections 5th- refill w/ 60/40 coolant to water 6th- run your electric fan to a switch controlled by the ignition so it is always on when the motors running 7th-beer is required for this process, good idea to pick that up first 8th- if 1-6 dont work, refer to rule 7, and try again next day cause you will end up drunk in your garage... hmmm ....oddly familiar [sm=icon_cheers.gif] |
