Default Trans. Leaks Where Driveshaft Goes

My car has a drop ot trans fluid hanging from the tail shaft of the trans all the time. I have a T-5 and have replaced it as well as the drive shaft and still the leak. Its not bad but I dont want to park it in peoples clean driveways for very long. Why does it do that? The seal in the tailshaft has also been replaced numerous times. Maybe mustangs just do that.

You might want to replace the bushing in the tail shaft housing, I had a vibration and had to change mine. If its worn out it will cause the driveshaft to move and leak.

Is there a groove cut into the driveshaft yoke?

No there is no groove in the drive shaft and I replaced the trans with a new one and still had the same problem. I have a couple of friends with fox 5.0's and they have the same problem. It probably only leaks 2 or 3 drops a day at the most but its just enough to leave spots on the driveway.

Are your u-joints free? Do you have the trans fluid filled to the proper level? If so than replacing the tailshaft bushing and another new seal may be the only cure. You can remove the trans tail housing without removing the trans. You can't change the bushing without removing the tail housing. I used a cam bearing tool to change the bushing when I rebuilt my trans.
