Default are my o2's bad read info inside(updated)

UPDATE IN MY LAST POST

so i finally got a chance to run codes off the eec today and got a code

41 hego sensor indicates lean right side
91 no hego switching detected always lean left side.

so i reset the codes and ran it down the road came back

code 41 was back

so i reset again ran it at idle check codes no 41 this time

so i turned the timing from 12degree 10 degree( to see if i could get it to richen up a little) ran it down the road and still didnt get a code 41 this time either. im going to check it tommorrow to see if it came back after some driving tonight and tommorrow.

i was checking this due to my little miss issue when engine was not at full operating temp. i stated here https://mustangforums.com/m_2160898/tm.htm

the car seems to have more power now at WOT at 10 then it had at 12degree. and idles better. (go figure)

if code comes back it could be that the 02 sensors are bad.

cars running excellant with plenty of power but that doesnt necessarily mean that the 02's are good either.

what do you think

sorry for the book article here lol.

With both banks indicating lean I would look for a vaccume leak first before replacing sensors.

thats what i was thinking but when i reset codes and ran it down the road it reset code 41 for right bank but when i turned the timing back down to 10 and ran it down the road no codes whatso ever and i pounded on it.

and car idles better now.

if code 41 comes back ill check for vacuum but I checked a week ago and didnt have one.

another thing i forgot to mention is i had the egr vaccum off when i got the codes 91 and 41 but when i reset codes first time i pluged the vaccum back up then got 41 then turned timing down and got no codes.

Also check your grounds, in particular the orange ground on the drivers side firewall. It should be with the grounding strap coming off the block.

The salt and pepper connectors can get some corrosion as well, which can cause erratic codes.

How old are the O2's?

they were put in when engine was installed about 7500 miles ago but thats also been since 03 previous owner didnt put hardley any miles on the engine...

but i still dont have any codes since then so ill wait till it comes back and investigate but shes running beautiful...

i wish i had an a/f gauge so i could see what shes doing. hopefully the code wont come back.

well believed i solve my issue

found orange ground wire was barely hanging on bellhousing

took it off and put it to firewall where other ground was turned my timing back to 12 degrees no codes now

plus checked my msd distributer cap and rotor button and all electrodes had bad burnt spots on them replaced dist. cap and button and she idles beautiful now.... but what i dont get is the msd dist cap was only around 6 months old???

any way car runs great now with no codes i do plan on cleaning my o2 sensors as soon as i can for good measure but no codes so everything is ok now .

thanks guys for all the replys
