Mine doesn't go anywhere in first either. It takes a judicious throttle foot to even race anyone.

Did you check your quad shocks? If they're shot that's going to amplify the traction problem. My $.02

id go ahead and buy some 26x10.5-15 Mickey Thompson ET streets, those will take car of your traction problems. My car with the Cobra Rs and street tires is a joke, tractionless till midway through 3rd.

Yeah, butt aht would primarily apply if he had stock control arms, which he may. That would also cause wheel hop and not the car stepping out so much.
Get some decent tires and control arms and stick it in first. I used to spin all the way through third and now it just fries clutches. [:@]

randy your car is sick![8D] most traction problems can be solved with upper, lower control arms, springs/shocks, struts and tires imo

Thanks... and i agree with you... just had to throw in the True Trac cuz it's such a wonderful thing... no clutches to burn... all gears... it's the best LS differential money can buy... In my most humble opinion...

does this post need any response?

Can't even race a car off the line...tried to race my friends mountainer (awd) off the line.. totally got about half a car in front of me but i caught up.. it was about 1/4 mile and i got ahead of him 4-5 car lengths.. I know i gotta work on my takeoffs but disregarding that... whenever i floor the car in 1st the back end wants to go out on me.. it doesn't go completely sideways but enough to loose traction and enough to make me ease off the gas... do your cars do this? is it because the weather outside is cold makin the ground cold 40-55 degrees? my car is a 89 lx hatch, headers,cam,exhaust,intake.. thats about it... I know i'm not pushing a whole hell of a lot of hp but still.
