Default Should I Use Dust Shields?

I'm converting my fox over to cobra brakes with the m-2300-k kit. The kit has comes with front and rear dust shields. As my fox isn't daily driven, I'm thinking about leaving the dust shields off. I don't know if the better cooling out weighs the benefits of the shields. Like I mentioned - not a daily driver, but doesn't see much track time either.

Any thoughts?

I'm sure we're talking about the same thing. I've always referred to them as dust shields - as do the ford directions. The directions do say they can be left off for race applications, but I won't be doing a ton of racing.

Ya all our race cars didnt have them on them. They really dont serve any purpose except keeping stuff off the brakes. But if your kit comes with them why not use them.
