Default HELP gear question

i've had my 88 for a short while, i know the rear gears are from a junkyard, however i did not put them in, and i don't know what they are. On the differential cover it says 93. i thought it was just from another mustang. but today i notice that when i drove exactly one mile (i know exactly it is one mile) my odometer moved about 1.3 miles. What could this mean?

It means that your speedometer is off and you need a different speedo gear. What tranny do you have? You need to figure out what kind of gears you've got in there.

Rotate the DS in a complete 360 and count how many times your tire has rotated.

your information is incorrect. some cars came stock with diff gears, the only way to tell is look at the label on your door inside the jam. instance my car came stock with 3.08s some came with 3.23's & others came with 2.73's.
