doesnt what timing and wat kind of gas you have also depend on where u live...cold weather or warm weather.....in the cold u can get away with lower octane and higher timing, denser air, denser fuel......am i right?

well the fuel changes with climate... ny's getting winterized gas now, but in the summer it should all be very very similar

Itll make some differnce. 14* is as far as I can go with pump gas. I am @ 11:1 compression though.

I run 18* with 93 all the time. Iv never tried running it with lower octane, it might work on 91, but just to be safe i always run 93.

Different things can cause pinging, something as little as clogged cats or carbon buildup on the pistons & valves can change the pressure in the cylinder and cause pingging, also miles have a effect on it...
